Message Boards can serve your business in several ways allowing either public or private access. A message board on your site can help build your traffic and increase the chance of returning visitors in much the same way as a Chat Room. A few examples of incorporating a chat room with your web site can be viewed here. The same themes used for a chat room can also be applied to a message board with a unique twist. Message boards are not "live" in the sence that other users of the board do not have to be online for you to post your thoughts, ideas or messages. Posted messages can remain on the board indefinitly for others to view and respond to at any time. Your message board can also be set up to be private and include include logging on with a unique ID & password. This can be very usefull for businesses that have employees operating from different locations. Rather than making individual phone calls or emails, memos that effect a group can be posted once and be available for viewing now as well as beeing archived for future reference.
